As you make your way along the Route 18 bypass toward Sakaki Town, Otogi-no-Sato stands on the banks of the Urano River and the Chikuma River, there’s a farmers’ market and corner for Ueda souvenirs, restaurants, a dog run and grassy area, so you’re bound to find a number of things to enjoy there. Iwabana is said to have been part of a series of rocks long ago that were eroded away by the Chikuma River, leaving a stunning scene you’ll see nowhere else.
