City Center
The central area that developed around Ueda Castle as a castle town and post town. Each street has its own character, making the streetscape ideal for strolling, and it is further enriched by having places to stop ranging from long-established shops with local delicacies to fashionable cafés.

Hot Springs Area
Bessho Hot Springs
The ley line recognized as a Japan heritage site for “The Sacred Place of Sun and Earth” is the power spot Shiodadaira, and Bessho Hot Springs is Nagano Prefecture’s oldest hot spring area. Why not feel the “wa” or “peace” of being pampered at a ryokan?

Maruko Hot Springs Area
You can make an extended stay at Kakeyu, where the hot springs are used as treatments, while the Reisenji Hot Springs is more intimate. A park where flowers bloom year round and an internationally-recognized winery are recent additions.
